Leaving the dungeon and the bizarre creature they encountered, the trio decide to return to Barton to rest, recuperate, sell the treasure, and ponder their next steps.
I am currently up to 26 pages of journaled game sessions, if you are following along, I would love to know what you think.

When I foolishly drank an entire bottle of Gilby's Gin in 1994 and woke up in the hospital, my insane friend Caroline (still alive! Currently a retired belly-dancer, living in a trailer in New York state) was there to add appropriate mockery and claimed they would find my body "with a (guitar) pick, a pen, and a pawn". It is a holiday for murder here in the USA, so I hoisted my battered acoustic guitar to riff-around this absurd "Not Exactly a White Wedding Dress" scrap I am composing as a phone-ring-tone for my friend Clarice, looked at a YouTube video about the latest major chess cheating scandal, and was preparing to do some writing when I was mused by your Rufus & Silas session record(s) from last week.
ReplyDeleteI think it is absolutely wonderful, from the format to the redlined mechanics and the blend of rumor and research, overland navigation, camp and stealth and combat, etc. I love it like a hand-made stamp in time. Well done. Plus it satisfied my pen component, keeping me from having to write more commissioned drivel about murder in a homeless camp.
Thus I am awaiting the next installment like a Snuffy Smith comic strip.
I looked for a donation mechanism or some kind of way to pay for it, but failed. Technology is not my thing.
Thank you for stopping by, and I am glad you are enjoying the game. I am having a blast playing!
DeleteI am glad you are enjoying it. I am mostly doing this for me but also to show others how I play. When I troll solo gaming online I always, and I mean ALWAYS, see newbs posting 'How do I do this the right way?" questions and it always irks me when people say this or that and say you need certain things. Most of us have a huge library of books and games we never use so I like to grab things from here or there and utilize them when I can. BUT I also like to just grab the rule book, my oracle, and some dice and roll with it. Nothing fancy, nothing say "this is the correct way to play" just a simple "this is how I do it."
ReplyDelete(Juan Epstein replies) You are embracing the Business Doctrine of Prostitution: Keep it Simple, Keep it Moving, Keep it Fun, Pay in Cash (see you again on Payday).
ReplyDeleteOften we muddy things with complications and "Too Much Reverb". BoomBoom said it best above. A quick remedy for any small challenge. Nothing fancy. Keep it moving.
I love what you're doing.
